Dr Christopher Leat entered into hair transplantation with the intention of providing a small, personal and private clinic that specialised totally in cosmetic medical treatments for hair loss.
Dr Leat has over 25 years experience in medicine and has devoted the last eleven years to Cosmetic Medicine and Surgery. He is one of the most experienced doctors in Australasia in the non-surgical treatment of ageing and photo-damaged skins.
Dr Leat trained in hair transplant surgery under Dr Damkerng Pathomvanich MD. FACS - one of the foremost transplant surgeons in the world today. He has since performed many hair transplant procedures on both men and women. Dr Leat is the only hair transplant surgeon in Australia who utilises a direct vision method of donor harvest to minimise graft transection and loss. Dr Leat travels and speaks at many conferences, keeping him at the leading edge of modern technology.
Clinic Del Mondo has developed a strong hair restoration team. As Medical Director, Dr Leat is dedicated to providing each and every patient the very best quality care and the highest standards of aesthetic surgery. His technical skill in hair transplantation and many other fields of modern cosmetic medicine is complimented by his ability to understand and relate to his patients. Dr Leat is married with 2 children. His interests are sport, music and spending quality time with his young family.

My interest and involvement in hair loss spans more than 30 years, starting in the hairdressing industry where Trichology (the cause and control of hair loss in men and women) was part of my studies. I found Trichology fascinating and these studies went on to have a profound input in my life, leading to 20 years fulltime in my own hair loss clinic as Managing Director and Medical Technician, which I take very seriously.
Having furthered my studies extensively overseas, along with regular attendance at hair restoration conferences throughout the world, allows Clinic Del Mondo to remain on the leading edge of hair restoration technology.
Being very much a ‘people person’, I enjoy the personal contact when conducting a free consultation and thoroughly understand the importance of privacy for men or women during these consultations. Having suffered hair loss myself, I fully understand each person’s dilemma, their worries and insecurities along with lack of self esteem.
